Giving your home a much needed makeover may not be as hard as it sounds. There are many do it yourself tips and techniques you can follow. The first thing you need to do make a list of the changes and improvements you want to make. Decide the function each room in your home has, what do you need to do there, what furnishings are needed. Plan how you want it to look, keeping in mind the asthetical appeal and the space needed. What style of home decor do you like? For the living room, a new sofa or loveseat is great, but if the budget can't accommodate that cost, a good alternative is a decorative slipcover or some decorative throws.
